

Accessories create the final touch to the costume. The most sensitive part of it is jewellery. Jewellery has the power to create moods. Reflecting the innate beauty of nature it may provide the healing energy of natural stones and sacred celtic wood. This is the philosophy that Toronto based leather designer Irina Jabenko follows in creating and developing her own unique collection of leather jewellery and accessories. The materials she uses include semi-precious stones, New Zealand abalone, sacred celtic wood, and leather.
Born and raised in Moscow, Russia, Irina had got her professional training in the Museum of Decorative Arts, Moscow. She successfully completed 2 years professional program “ Leather Design”. She learned the fundamentals of traditional leather techniques, leather jewellery making and began developing her signature style.
As her young business began to grow. Irina’s innovative designs quickly caught the attention of her peers. . These were the beginnings of the distinguishing style that can now be found throughout her collections. Subsequently, she was accepted into the prestigious International Federation of Artists.
In Canada Irina continued to create her unique leather pieces and in year 2006 she became a professional member of Ontario Craft Council (OCC).
For the last years she participated in several shows including the prestigious Salon the Métiers des Arts du Quebec.
Today, Irina spends time with her family that gives her all to bring her special touch to the creation of memorable leather accessorieis.
